My first tall cake

I finally have learned how to make tall stacked cakes :)  

I have learned so many cake decorating techniques over the past 4 months through the Wilton cake classes at my local Micheal's store. Creating this tall cake was my final project. Though I am happy to now have Thursday nights free again, I will miss attending cake class. Next step, finding people to now eat all of this cake.

    It looks amazing!! well done!! How many cakes did you bake in total for each layer? what type of cake?

      Thank you for your sweet compliment!!! I baked 2-- 10 inch cakes for bottom layer and 2-- 6 inch cakes for the top layer. I used Duncan Hines white cake mix. One box of cake mix will make one 10 inch cake and one 6 inch cake.
